*cue gratuitous lightning strike*
I need either a SFX makeup guru with a DIY mentality to sculpt a "dead head," or point me in the right direction to making a convincing upper torso and eyeless head using household chemicals and toiletries.
I already have a great cast and crew (some playing ironman), all working for free (well, bbq and beer - I'm an excellent grill artist), a mediocre script with a spasmically fantastic climax, a sheetload of DS8s and a budget just enough to cover the film developing.
I'm hoping there's a fallen angel out there who loves humor + horror, willing to contribute their talents for the sake of good fun. -

Tue, August 3, 2004 - 7:12 PMthat is a biggish project
perhaps someone here has a used prop they can recycle but other than that you are looking at a chunk of change for just the materials alone.
on the cheap? find a mannequin and use "toilet paper + liquid latex" to fill in the eyes and so on. not highly realistic but you can sculpt the stiff over an entire face if you are feeling energetic.
the proper method is to do a moulage casting/plaster + alginate body cast or some such and cast a body in silicone rubber or cold process foam or bake one from hot foam
tain't easy -

Tue, August 3, 2004 - 7:14 PMOh yeah - I've never used it - but you can use gelatin to create makeup as well.
I'm sure info is on the web somewhere.
